(Hong Kong, November 30, 2009) – Hong Kong steakhouse Morton’s of Chicago has been awarded its first prestigious MICHELIN star.
The iconic steakhouse at The Sheraton Hotel on Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui is honoured in the latest 2010 MICHELIN Guide to Hong Kong and Macau.
Applauding Morton's, MICHELIN commented: "This buzzing outpost of the legendary Illinois steakhouse allows you to feast on all the classic dishes –- only with Victoria Harbour sparkling as the backdrop.
"As well as old favourites such as Caesar Salad and Shrimp Cocktail, all the prime cuts are available using USDA Prime aged grain-fed beef. But beware portions are massive and two of you may care to share a double Porterhouse steak!"
The restaurant is the Hong Kong flagship of Morton's Restaurant Group, the world's largest operator of company-owned upscale steakhouses. Its sister restaurant in Macau, located at The Venetian® Macao-Resort-Hotel, is also listed in the MICHELIN Guide.

The restaurant is serving a choice of three Christmas Season Set Lunches priced from HK$295 to HK$550 per person throughout December -- ideal for office parties and family get-togethers.
They include the brand's signature Morton’s Salad with blue cheese dressing, chopped egg and anchovies or classic Caesar Salad as starters, and prime beef options such as Roasted Boneless Prime Rib and Single Cut Filet Mignon.
Alternative main courses include Grilled Salmon and Chicken Christopher, along with signature desserts Key Lime Pie and Double Chocolate Mousse.
Reservations for the special Christmas set lunches must be made at least 2 weeks in advance with a minimum charge of HK$20,000 per group.
