Belvedere Vodka Brings You the Life of the Party with the Launch of Belvedere IX


(Hong Kong, 31 July, 2009) Being the signature drink of the world’s favourite parties, Belvedere introduces the new arrival to its family – Belvedere IX. To welcome the exciting new tang, a launch party was held last night (30 July, 2009) at M1NT, the town’s hot spot in Central, attracting celebrities like Chrissie Chau, Sam Lee, Jacquelin Ch’ng, Terence Yin, Kate Yeung, Ronnie Cheung, etc to seize the first taste of Belvedere IX. And with world renowned DJ Chris Garcia spinning the deck, the party was a night full of fun & ecstasy!

To highlight the outstanding graffiti on Belvedere IX designed by world renowned graffiti artist Andre Saraiva, the venue was adorned with a huge backdrop where guests showed off their creativity to spray paint their inspirations on. When it came to the tasting of the hero vodka drink, tips were given by the hot model ambassadors around the venue on how to shoot a shot with pop rocks or mini cotton candy to get the best out of Belvedere IX!

THE PRODUCT
With exclusive availability in nightclubs, the Belvedere IX launch reflects our Luxury Reborn image. A vodka created specifically for the night and the party, Belvedere IX has nine ingredients blended perfectly to create the ultimate drinking experience. Once again, Belvedere is redefining luxury for a new era by introducing a product that embodies the creative and sexy attitude of the night.

The TASTING NOTES include….
Nose: Floral, sweet spice aromas with notes of fresh citrus and ginger with a soft yet refreshing menthol lift.
Palate: Bold and intricate with uplifting sweet spice followed by invigorating ginger warmth. Smooth yet intense with menthol complexity tempered by gentle sweet almond and jasmine undercurrents.
Finish: Sustained finish with a characteristic Belvedere flourish of vanilla and white pepper.
Ingredients: Ginseng, Guarana, Açaï, Ginger, Jasmine, Eucalyptus, Three-Cinnamon, Black Cherry and Sweet Almond

Belvedere IX is best served neat and frozen as shooters with a grapefruit twist, to elevate the citrus and sweet spice characteristics of the vodka. THE ARTIST
With the release of IX, Belvedere continues to assert its Luxury Reborn message with powerful references to contemporary culture, as shown in the creation of the packaging. The design is the result of collaboration with graffitist Andre Saraiva, who conceived a new personality to inhabit the Belvedere Palace, Mr IX. The artwork sees Andre draw inspiration from his iconic graffiti that has graced the streets of Paris since the late 1980s, and where he began many projects such as Black Block abstract art boutique in the Palais de Tokyo, Paris. He draws inspiration from the era of Warhol and Basquiat, which focuses on art, nightlife and design. Described by Sam Keller, director of Art Basel Miami Beach, as a ‘social alchemist’, and as co-owner of the chic Le Baron nightclub in Paris and New York’s Beatrice Inn, Andre continues to bring together iconic names such as Chloe Sevigny, Nate Lowman and Kate Hudson, constantly combining his conceptual nightclub work with break-out innovations in art.

Andre’s reach and influence extends around the globe and continues to flourish in the customization of this new bottle. Here he reveals his new creation, a ‘tagged’ glossy black Belvedere bottle with electric pink graffiti, reinventing Belvedere’s trademark palace and trees and transforming the brand into a vision of the night.

THE LAUNCH
From spring 2009, Belvedere IX launches exclusively in nightclub partners around the world with additional club distributions to follow. Throughout 2009, IX presence will grow across the globe with availability in US, Canada, UK, France, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Starting from now, Belvedere drinkers can look out for Belvedere IX at the premium nightclubs in Hong Kong, including Azure, Beijing Club, Club Billion, Club No.9, Dragon-I, Drop, Halo, HUE, Kee Club, M1NT, Play, Prive, Propaganda, Roxie, and Volar.

In May this year, Belvedere collaborated with Andre for a series of events in launching IX in the US as well as a global launch event at the Cannes International Film Festival.
