The Knolls 'Grill & Chill' Sunday Lunch at Capella Singapore, Sentosa


SINGAPORE (July 20, 2009) – A new 'Grill & Chill' Sunday barbecue lunch is now available at The Knolls Restaurant at Capella Singapore for S$98 including free-flow Rosè wine, draft beer and a variety of soft drinks. ‘Grill & Chill’ is served every Sunday from midday to 2.30pm at The Knolls restaurant.

Introduced as the ultimate leisurely Sunday lunch, ‘Grill & Chill’ makes the most of the spectacular views over the reflective pools towards the South China Sea. Ideal for all the family, the menu features chilled appetisers including hand carved Spanish Serrano Ham and Scottish Beetroot Gravlax, Oysters and Mediterranean and Asian inspired salads.

The grilled selection includes fresh seafood and meats such as extra large king prawns in lemon and chilli, snapper fillet with fennel confit, chicken yakitori with young leek, lamb cutlet in a Korean marinade, beef filet steak with balsamic onion confit and barbecued pork ribs grilled to order. All grilled main courses are served to the table with seasonal side dishes and signature sauces.

‘Grill & Chill’ is not complete without a visit to the dessert buffet serving assorted sweets such as soufflés to order and freshly churned ice-cream. Dessert classics include Dark Chocolate Mousse with Grand Marnier, Blueberry Cheesecake and Tiramisu alongside more contemporary Green Tea Cream Brulee and Chilled Mango Cream with Pomelo.

The Knolls kitchen is lead by Executive Chef Edwin Rosenkranz, formerly of Australia’s foremost spa resort, Elysia in the Hunter Valley. Chef Edwin has dedicated many years to developing his craft at prestigious hotels and at numerous fine-dining establishments around the globe.

Designed by Tokyo-based Design Studio SPIN, The Knolls is a modern interpretation of colonial architecture and lifestyle, including alfresco outdoor dining. Accommodating up to 76 guests indoors, with alfresco seating for 32, the Asian colonial setting integrates antique and contemporary elements. It is uniquely distinguished by a specialty bar showcasing over 40 varieties of premium Chinese, English, Indian and Japanese teas, complemented by Peranakan and Western afternoon tea favourites.
