
(Hong Kong, March 23, 2009) Fashionable Japanese lounge zuma at The Landmark is serving a new range of refreshing vodka-sake 'Haru Cocktails' to celebrate the start of Spring.
Central’s best kept secret, zuma Lounge, features cosy sofas and a trendy popular bar with a drink menu that highlights some of the best cocktails in town. Guests at zuma Lounge can experience some of Hong Kong’s hottest DJs three nights a week, in addition – zuma Lounge now has five unique new cocktail blends on the menu, priced at HK$95.
The new signature cocktails were concocted by the team at zuma Lounge and use fresh ingredients giving the cocktails their special edge. The new “zuma Haru Cocktails”, meaning Spring in Japanese, promise to tempt all sorts of cocktail aficionados.
For fruity cocktails with a kick, the Izumi Citrus is created with 42 Below vodka, premium dry sake, fresh passion fruit and blood orange muddled with orange peel and ginger; whilst the Kaki Martini blends muddled persimmon and strawberry with 42 Below vodka, premium dry sake, blood orange and lemon juice.
The Kyuuri Cooler is a more refreshing cocktail mixing Bombay Sapphire Gin, cucumber, pear and apple juice with tonic; the Anzu Martini combines Bison Grass vodka, plum sake, Dom Benedictine with apricot, lime juice and dill essence into a delicious martini cocktail; and the Haru Punch introduces a fusion of Ketel One Citrus vodka, yuzu shochu, fresh passion fruit and guava with muddle persimmon and yuzu for a cocktail with a twist.
“The bar team worked together to create 5 sensational new cocktails that are perfect for Spring,” said Christian Talpo, General Manager. “The Haru cocktails are a fresh and exotic cocktail experience – uniquely zuma - that can’t be replicated anywhere else.”
zuma Lounge also features a semi private room for up to 25 guests, where friends can host private gatherings and enjoy the cocktails and snacks zuma Lounge has to offer. Guests can also enjoy cocktails on zuma’s outdoor terrace, allowing guests to feel the buzz of the city.
zuma was opened by award winning chef and co-founder Rainer Becker as a sophisticated new twist on the Japanese izakaya concept of informal eating and drinking, zuma features a restaurant on level 5 and lounge on level 6 of The Landmark that has become a fashionable venue for after work, pre-dinner and after dinner gatherings.
The original zuma opened in 2002 in the hip Knightsbridge district of London, and is one of the capital's most fashionable restaurants.
