(Singapore, March 31, 2009) – GHM, a market leader in conceptualising, developing and operating an exclusive group of uber stylish luxury hotels and resorts worldwide, has announced the promotion of Mr. Jamie Case to Senior Vice President for Operations.
He was formerly General Manager of GHM’s multi-award winning The Datai, Langkawi, Malaysia and has been with the company for 15 years.
As Senior Vice President of Operations, he is now responsible for all operational areas of GHM overseeing a team of regional Vice Presidents and the General Managers of the group’s 14 properties.

Canadian born, Jamie graduated in 1983 from Ryerson University, Toronto in Tourism Management. He subsequently joined the Hilton Toronto where he assumed a series of management positions until 1989 when he moved to the Hilton Hong Kong as Food and Beverage Manager and was eventually promoted to Executive Assistant Manager. In 1991 he moved to Indonesia to take up a similar role before joining Singapore-based GHM.
In 1993 he was appointed General Manger for the ground-breaking The Datai Langkawi and achieved great success for the resort during his tenure including numerous awards and accolades from many of the most respected reader surveys in the world including Conde Traveller, Tatler Travel Guide, The Sunday Times and the Gallivanter’s Guide.
The Datai first appeared in Conde Nast Traveler’s annual ‘World’s Top 100 Hotels’ in 1998 and has featured virtually every year since then reaching the No. 1 in 2001 and never lower than 20. The Spa at The Datai garnered similar accolades.
