
BLT Steak is set to open its first restaurant in the Asian market this January in Hong Kong.
The opening of BLT Steak by Dining Concepts, in Ocean Terminal, Kowloon, marks the arrival of celebrated chef Laurent Tourondel to the international dining scene. BLT Steak opened in New York City in 2004 as a revolutionary modern American steakhouse where Tourondel elevates the classic American steakhouse with his signature style, French training and all-around finesse.
A native of France with the passion and skill of a classically French-trained chef and the sensibility and style of a metropolitan restaurateur, Laurent Tourondel has successfully infiltrated the rarified world of New York restaurants and the American dining landscape, much to the delight of critics and diners alike.
Bistro Laurent Tourondel takes the steakhouse concept to a new level by artfully combining the highest quality ingredients with the precision only the finest chefs can wield.
“I created BLT Steak as a modern steakhouse – one that focuses on the best product and the most exact techniques. That is the key for me, to keep it simple and wonderful” states Chef Tourondel.
An extensive range of the best prime steaks available from the US and Australia, are complemented by an array of custom designed entrees, appetizers and salads; poultry, fish and shellfish with classic vegetable side dishes on the mains. Dessert ends the meal with a selection of updated American classics and French specialties.
BLT Steak offers endless beverage options as well, including a creative selection of wines, many available by the glass, and a number of house-designed cocktails.
Designed by renowned architect, Hernan Zanghellini, BLT Steak integrates traditional elements of a cozy French Bistro with those of urbane culinary culture.
With a stunning entrance of limestone, guests are welcomed to a palette of browns, offset by ambient lighting, suggesting comfort and luxury. Dark wood floor, antique brick and wooden walls surround the luxurious banquettes, creating warmth amid modernity.
Elegant and electrifying, melding the best of all that is French with the best of all that is American, BLT Steak satisfies the epicure and the neighborhood diner alike.

Honored by Bon Appetit as Restaurateur of the year in 2007 and by Food & Wine as a Best New Chef in 1997, Tourondel also has received an array of “Best of…” awards from publications that include Esquire, Travel & Leisure, Saveur, Wine Spectator and The New York Times in the US.
