(Hong Kong, November 21, 2008) – Specialty m.a.x. concepts restaurants Pearl on the Peak, Lawry’s The Prime Rib and LIAN are serving three distinctive ‘Flavourful Christmas’ gourmet menus this festive season, with variety of cuisines and great discounts for advanced bookings.
Pearl on the Peak
Casually elegant with magnificent harbour view ‘to dine for’
Casually elegant by day and romantic at night with Hong Kong's most spectacular panoramic view from The Peak Tower, Pearl on The Peak serves a 6-course festive menu on December 24 and 25 priced at HK$985 per person, or HK$886 for advanced bookings.
Pearl on the Peak’s menu starts with seared yellow fin tuna roll, tempura-style freshly shucked oysters and seared foie gras with caramelised pears, mixed greens and sweet apple mustard dressing. A choice of classic lobster bisque or bay bug tails and pumpkin soup follows.
Main course choices are roast US turkey and baked honey-glazed ham, Boston lobster linguine or US rib-eye steak. Dessert is home-made Christmas pudding with berries and XO cognac ice-cream or tiramisù topped with chocolate sauce, completed with home-made chocolates.
Citibank credit card holders can enjoy a 20% discount on the original price of the Christmas menu.
Lawry’s The Prime Rib, Causeway Bay
Classic and sumptuous festive fare
With a classic and warm club-like ambience, premium prime rib specialist Lawry’s The Prime Rib at The Lee Gardens, Causeway Bay is serving a 4-course festive menu with selections of signature specialties from December 8 to January 1 priced at HK$720 per person, or HK$620 for advanced booking.
The Lawry’s menu includes a festive cocktail, mocktail or glass of wine and starts with the restaurant's famous 'Spinning Bowl' salad and cream of mushroom soup.
Main course is a choice of 'California Cut' roasted prime rib or pan-fried sea bass, both with Atlantic lobster tail, mashed potato and vegetables. Dessert is Christmas pudding or crème brûlée with berries.
LIAN, ifc mall, Central
Hip and stylish Christmas with Southeast Asian delights
Stylish Viet-Thai bar & bistro LIAN at ifc mall is serving a 5-course Xmas special on December 24 and 25 priced at HK$558 per person, or HK$502 for advance bookings.
LIAN’s menu starts with special fresh abalone rice paper rolls with spicy honey sauce and seared foie gras with nashi pears. Hot and sour Thai king prawn soup or black truffle and mushroom soup follow. Main course is a choice of red curry lobster with pan-fried new potatoes, whole roast free-range French spring chicken or Matsuzaka Beef ‘Three Ways’ in noodle soup with Thai salad and tartar.
Dessert is brandied cherry ganache with pink champagne aspic or raspberry soufflé with strawberry sorbet.

Party-to-Go!
International party menus & traditional Xmas fare to serve at home or office
m.a.x. concepts is also serving a Christmas 'party-to-go' menu for 10 priced at HK$1,110 or HK$999 for advanced booking, which features a blend of international tastes. It includes smoked salmon, prawn rice paper rolls, pomelo and spicy prawn salad with chilli lemongrass dressing, lemongrass Thai chicken wings, spring rolls, Indian chicken curry, grilled back baby ribs, Thai-style fried vegetables, stir-fried spaghetti with smoked duck breast and longan, seafood fried rice with pineapple and mango pudding.
Ready-roasted Christmas turkeys can also be ordered at a special price of HK$432 at all m.a.x. concepts outlets for advance booking before December 17. Other cooked gourmet dishes available for take-away are roast beef tenderloin at HK$205* and honey-glazed ham at HK$124*. Spare ribs, chicken wings, satay, samosas, spring rolls and sandwiches are also on the takeaway menu, priced from HK$72 - 88, along with a range of salads and hot dishes from curry to lamb rack, plus assorted desserts.
