Priced from US$1,135 for two, the three, five and eight-night packages celebrate the festive season at the celebrated COMO Hotels & Resorts retreat renowned for ‘stylish escapism’.
A three-night getaway including Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas Day lunch and a 60-minute COMO Shambhala or Indonesian massage per person with daily breakfast and return airport transfers starts at US$1,135 for a Terrace Room.
Alternatively, a Garden Room is US$1,200, Uma Suite US$1,395, Uma Pool Suite US$1,715 and Shambhala Suite US$1,795.
The five night package over New Year is priced from US$1,590-US$2,690.
With the same pampering, daily breakfast and airport transfers, it also includes a Balinese-inspired New Year’s Eve dinner at Uma’s renowned Kemiri restaurant followed by a countdown poolside party. Cocktails, canapés and revelry are the order of the night to welcome the New Year with a DJ-led party at the pool bar.
The package for eight nights over both Christmas and New Year includes all festive celebrations with the same complimentary bonuses and is priced from US$2,450-US$4,115.
In Uma Ubud, there are 14 Terrace Rooms, located throughout the resort, all 45sq metres with garden terraces. 10 Garden Rooms are positioned along the northern perimeter, and are all 53sq metres with a private courtyard. The three luxurious Uma Pool Suites are each 94sq metres with infinity-edge pools and uninterrupted views across the valley down to the snaking river. The Shambhala Suite, located on the southern edge of the resort, has possibly the best infinity-edge pool, with a private treatment area.
The festive season at Uma Ubud is a tranquil, tropical holiday as busy or relaxed as guests choose.
As with all COMO Hotels and Resorts, cuisine is a crucial element of the guest experience. Menus are based on well-sourced, seasonal ingredients from local suppliers with dishes showcasing Bali’s rich gourmet heritage as well as other Asian cuisines.
Guests can also opt for COMO Shambhala cuisine, designed to maximise energy and wellbeing with raw, organic foods rich in living enzymes, vitamins and sea minerals. Blended nut milks replace cow’s milk and genetically-tampered soy alternatives. Honey replaces processed sugars.
The COMO Shambhala Retreat is designed for guests seeking greater health through yoga and related treatments including meditation, reflexology and Asian-based therapies ranging from facials to sophisticated massages.
Guided introductions to Bali’s culture include visits to Ubud’s temples, galleries and museums, walks through the region's hinterland and local temple ceremonies.
The resort is renowned for dedicated retreats with the world’s leading yoga teachers, including women-only retreats and specialist programs for yoga teachers.
Adventure Challenge Weeks incorporate trekking, white water rafting and volcano climbing. Mountain biking is also available, again with experienced guides.
